2 weeks sober

Important question, I need your help please! I started my sobriety journey on my own. I just cut it off one day when I felt it was too much. Later, I realized how hard it is to do it alone, so I started looking for a community, which is how I ended up in this forum, for example. Since then, I’ve come across content saying that recovery is more about a shift in mindset and mentality—that it’s deep inner work and not just stopping the physical addiction. I haven’t really dove into all of that yet, but I do feel that while I’ve physically disconnected from alcohol, emotionally and mentally, it’s still haunting me. My question is: Do you think I really need to take it that seriously and dive into that deep work? (I’m a very thorough person—if I get into something, I’m all in, all the way). Or is it possible that time will be the best healer, and I’ll slowly just adapt to my new life? 🤔 I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks
