Let me remind you all, addiction is a symptom of the broken world we live in. Capitalism, systemic oppression, wealth disparity, corporate greed buying up everything and selling it back to us after they displaced us from our basic human rights and sell it back to us, after shoving us all in cities that dont have VILLAGES for people to lean on and support us through our hard times. PLEASE PLEASE know that NONE of this is 'normal' and addiction for whatever reason is an absolutely reasonable response to the brokenness of the systems around us. I AM NOT blaming anyone else for my path OR my decisions BUT I AM recognizing the dysfunctional ways i found to survive my life is symptomatic of a bigger societal problem; how we relate to eachother and how that gets reflected in the systems of power around us. Am doing my degree on this atm in university btw..
