So,,,, I did have wine at my sisters engagement party, one to cheers and one because a friend I haven’t seen in a while bought it for me. I didn’t get drunk or even slightly buzzed, just a decent headache which I’ll take as my punishment for relapsing. I’m not necessarily disappointed in myself for drinking because I was able to keep it under control this time, but I am disappointed that I ruined my 1 week streak for something that I’ve found out I don’t really miss. I had to play Captain-Save-A-H*e for some of drunk relatives and tbh it was enough for me to realize that getting drunk just isn’t worth the repercussions. It was absolutely a turn off. I hope this isn’t a disappointing read to any of my friends on here but, at least I know now that alcohol doesn’t have a place in my life. I promise (mostly to myself) that this next round of sobriety will last much longer and have a greater impact. If you’re reading this, thank you for the ongoing support. <3
